Columbia University Recruiting PANDAS Patients & Support Group Thursday July 24

Hi Reader,

The PANDAS Network was founded in 2013 with the goal of accelerating our scientific understanding of PANDAS/PANS and building a supportive community that can offer advice, encouragement, and hope for those deeply affected by PANDAS/PANS.

Fast forward twelve years later and we are still doing just that. We are excited to share two new opportunities with you that align with our mission:

  1. Help researchers at Columbia University better understand PANDAS/PANS (details below).
  2. Join our upcoming PANDAS support group.

Let's start with the research.

Help Contribute to Groundbreaking Genetic Research

Columbia University’s Dr. Dritan Agalliu Laboratory is seeking 100 additional PANDAS-diagnosed patients in the United States to participate in a PANDAS/PANS genetic study. We’re incredibly grateful to the 200 patients who have already joined—thank you!

Whether newly diagnosed or living with PANDAS for years, your participation can make a difference. Recruitment for international participants will be announced later.

To get involved, please email agalliulab@gmail.com to schedule a meeting and receive a cheek swab kit after completing a short patient intake questionnaire.

July 24th Support Group

Our July 24th Thursday support group meeting will be hosted by Saille from Hamsa Vibes who helps individuals and groups of people find calm and inner reconciliation during difficult moments in life. Salie helped me personally resolve my trauma and stress that I endured after my two children became sick with PANDAS.

The support group will begin with a Sound Bath and Healing Meditation for 30 minutes. You are free to sit back and relax with your camera off or on.

Date: Thursday, July 24th

Time: 5:30 EST Meditation Session
6:00 EST Dialoge Session

Where: Virtually by Zoom

We’re grateful for your continued support of the PANDAS Network. Together we can make a difference!
